I just did the itunes update this morning but itunes will not start up now after the update. I tried to restart and repair permissions and got this but it did not solve the problem.

Permissions differ on ./Applications/iTunes.app/Contents/Frameworks/InternetUtilities.bundle/Contents/MacOS/InternetUtilities, should be -rw-rw-r-- , they are -rwxrwxr-x
Owner and group corrected on ./Applications/iTunes.app/Contents/Frameworks/InternetUtilities.bundle/Contents/MacOS/InternetUtilities
Permissions corrected on ./Applications/iTunes.app/Contents/Frameworks/InternetUtilities.bundle/Contents/MacOS/InternetUtilities

Not sure exactly where to go from here but is there anyway to identify what is going wrong? Hopefully there is an easy fix for this but i did backup my system last night.

You only need to exclude it the first time you start it. Once you have clicked "I Accept" you can remove it from the exclude list.
