Just so we're clear: How many layers in the cake?

Just so we're clear: How many layers in the cake?

Two pretty thick ones. It was about 3 inches high. The top layer was chocolate and the bottom layer was vanilla.

There's one slice left.. I think I'll go finish it. :)

I like your wallpaper. Is that one of the standard ones already on the phone?

ne one got any that show how thick/thin it is say compared to a 60/80 gb ipod? Judging by the cake picture it looks to me as the status bar is transparent... am i correct? if so that's pretty cool. I guess they didn't follow verizon with their red bars UI :p

i can't speak for the 60/80 gb ipods, but it's the same thickness as a 30 gb. i'd take a picture for you, but my digital camera just ran out of battery. :o

But (most importantly) is the ratio of its longer side to the iPhone's shorter side in accordance with the golden ratio (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_ratio)? :p

Nice pictures, if some of the choices were...well...odd. :p I'm surprised at seeing it next to a RAZR -- I had an impression of it being a lot bigger. Which is weird because I also had an impression of an iPod being a lot bigger than a RAZR, which consequently, is probably also inaccurate. :o

Now can I please have my slice of cake?

P.S. Sorry, I'm obsessed. Couldn't resist.

Katie...this definitely calls for some iBrownies or something.

I'd say iCake, but someone already beat you to that (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=321539).

Nope, it doesn't. Maybe the screen does...

Nope, screen doesn't have the golden ratio either.

Interesting... But if not from Sacred Geometry just what is the source of its magical powers? Has anyone checked to see what its cymatic image looks like? A metal tray and some sandů could be revealing! :p

what the picture doesn't show about the micro comparison is how much thinner the iphone is. it's really amazing, same thickness as a 30 gb video ipod.

The iCat rocks. If your feline is anything like the one in my house, you better up your minutes plan! :)

is this some kind of joke? those are not comparison pics, size comparison pics are supposed to be pictures taken next popular household items of regular shape that people can grab from the shelf & COMPARE. the only picture even close to a size comparison pic is the pop can. no pictures from the side nor back either.

cake, a cat, and a nasty dirty microwave? those items come in thousands of size configurations. How am i supposed to guage any size?

it is a joke right? this whole KT iPhone Blog whatever you call it thing. its gotta be.

Apparently, someone is already offering at least black plates to replace the silver portion of the back of the iPhone...

they're (http://cnn.cn/shop/apple-iphone-metal-black-rear-cover-p-1766.html) quite pricey at almost $50. and i have no idea how one would even be installed.

Yes, I believe it was. However the correct response to jokes is supposed to be joy and laughter, not shock disbelief that any iPhone owner should ever dare to be so bold as to make a joke, or for that matter even enjoy the use of this device.

Oh, and you can throw in a couple of :) or :D or even a :p maybe a ;) but never a  because what the world doesn't seem to understand about Apple early adopter is that we just appreciate well designed products that make this little journey on this big blue marble just a little more (okay a lot more) enjoyable.

It's okay, though, give the rest of the country a couple of months and they will discover the elegance and attractiveness of this iPhone thing. I know I've done enough demos in the last week and a half. Even talked a few into considering it.

Just wait til people start going off contract at the other cell phone providers. Then it will get really interesting. :D

I ordered one three hours after launch (still waiting for it...) and now the question is whether i can hold out for the next two months until my Sprint contract expires. it's gonna be hard ...
