Ah, where'd you see the 256MB card? It didn't see it on the link...

But this is a nice card - I can't wait to see it in action...

Actually it's only available in a 128 MB version. But on the plus side, it's only $399. SAME PRICE AS THE PC VERSION! For once.

It's good that it's the same price as the PC version. I didn't see much as far as details but early reports said that it was compatible with any AGP G4 machine.

It is nice that its the same price, finally. But I'll be getting it on the G5 - so from Apple that's a $300 item.

I wonder if you got the 9600, sold it and bought a 9800 you'd do any better....probably not get more than $100 for the 9600 without a box.....

I wonder if there will be any initial deals or sales on this card. You can get the ATI9800 for the PC discounted to $270. Also is anyone interested in my G4MX 32MB out of my MDD PowerMac? I'm thinking about $50 for a price.

Um... in ATI's Store...

A supercharged, 256-bit DDR memory interface...

But yes they are only selling the 128 memory version so far.

According to the ATI news release they are only selling the 128MB version with 4x AGP. If you buy a G5 with the 9800 it is an 8x AGP version. But that is the only way you can get that version according to ATI.,

I think you're confusing bits and MBs. 128MB, 256-bit - $399.

I wonder if ATI will stop here or also write drivers for the Fire cards? Damn I hope so then Nvidia might counter by copying and writing for the Quadro cards as well :D ....
