iPhone Shortcut for a Period (.)

Has anyone found a way to type a period on the keyboard without "shifting" first? I loved how the Blackberry had double-space tap for it, and I wish this was the same, grr.

Has anyone found a way to type a period on the keyboard without "shifting" first? I loved how the Blackberry had double-space tap for it, and I wish this was the same, grr. The iPhone has the same exact thing. Go to Settings > General > Keyboard, then set "." Shortcut to on. Now you can double tap the space bar to insert a period and a space at the same time. The phone will now also capitalize the next letter.
