Hey guys...
Congrats, the forums server actually exceeded my 1.5TB bandwidth allotment for June. It's not a big deal in itself, but is likely in part a side effect of me turning Gzip off in the past due to odd Safari bugs.
I've turned Gzip back on... for two reasons
- It should reduce bandwidth considerably, as most of the data coming out of this server is text. (images are on a separate server)
- It should speed up browsing from the iPhone (EDGE network) which is bandwidth limited. I've checked and the iPhone's Safari does appear to accept gzip'd output.
So, just a heads up, in case people start getting odd safari connection errors again...
