The new SAMSUNG F1 hard drives sound amazing. A number of articles announced that they are shipping but I have NOT been able to find any to order - are they in stock anywhere???

My guess is that zipzoofly & newegg & whomever is clearing out a lot of older lower performance drives first :-(
 
sounds pretty nice, I would like to see some performance specs on it.

I guess it will be out soon, the retail price is $399 for the 1TB
 
The performance might be approaching the 150 GB Raptor but with a lot less noise. Our new Mac Pro is sooooo quiet that the Raptor noise level is now bothering me. Plus - because of the ultra high density platters - the power requirements are really low = low heat / higher reliability.

But where are they?????
