Hey guys, I wrote up a little utility (I called it BootChamp) that when launched, will boot your computer into your Windows partition. I have an iMac that I use for gaming, and I was getting annoyed holding down option every time I restarted to boot into Windows, so I made my life easier :)

If you could, let me know if it works for you. It requires authentication in order to properly set your Windows partition as the startup disk. I have only tested on an NTFS volume, not on FAT32 yet.

Source will be available publicly when I officially release it, but if you want it now, pm me.

Enjoy! :apple:

I haven't downloaded this, but how is it different from the Startup Disk option in Sys Prefs?

Startup Disk actually changes your startup disk so that each time you do a plain vanilla restart, it boots into what you selected in System Preferences. My app just reboots into Windows without actually changing your startup disk permanently.

This is neat. When I restart into XP to play games, I like to go downstairs and get a snack or hit the head. This will add some time onto this ritual.

I'm gunna give this a try on my iMac when I get home. Thanks!
