I have a western digital sata drive that is currently in my desktop. I recently got the srmbp and now want to use that drive as an external. After reading some previous posts, my main question is what are some of the issues that I/you should consider before buying an enclosure? I guess some of the main ones include heat/noise, connection type. What else?

I'm thinking of getting this one from newegg. It supports both SATA and IDE and it's usb 2.0. It'd be nice if it had firewire too, but I think that gets more expensive.
Also, are most enclosures compatible with OSX even though they don't say so?
