G3 And Pioneer Dvr-a104

I want to put the new Pioneer dvd burner inside my Blue and White G3. I understand that it's recommended that you have a G4 when you burn DVD's. Why?? I'm trying to find out if it will work in my G3 400mhz, and if it can, what will be the problems of not using the burner with a G4?? Thanks out there!!

As far as I know the G3 could take the DVD-R but would be no where near the speed of the G4, it could take days to burn a DVD.

Try asking Apple Tech Support.
