I'd say probably around November or so, just in time for Christmas.

if apple held out and didn't release until mid 2008, would people still buy 5.5 generation ipods in droves during the holiday season? would there be an ipod killer people would buy? or would would-be ipod buyers just hold out until a sixth generation ipod came out? again, i say october 19th. friday is the new tuesday, didn't you know? 😉

i would love to know. i got my ipod stolen and thinking when i should buy another one. i dont want to get sucker punch like last time. i got my 20g and the next week the color pod came out.
