Wanted to inform males about a study indicating a way to prevent Prostate Cancer. A warning this is not for those under 18 years old! This is an unorthodox method. It still needs further study. What are your thoughts?

Without reading it, I can already sense that this is the masturbation article. ;)
Abstract: "When I grow up, I'm going to be an oncologist."
Mom: "Good luck jerking off, son. Practice practice practice."

well we all knew it was good for stress relief.... :)
and not for under 18? ;)
I liked Jay Leno's joke about the study yesterday:
"..this study may prove that Pamela Anderson has saved more lives than many surgeons..."

Now we have a legitimate reason to masturbate. It's more than just sex with the one that you love! I'm wondering also what my wife will say!

This...may be the bast news for menkind since...well, ever.
Anyway, I love how it takes a scientist to figure stuff like this out:
"(But) masturbation isn't bad for you. I don't believe in the blindness and hairy palms theory. Prohibitions against ejaculations are not based on science," he said.
Der...really?

I couldn't help think that would be an awful name for a city in CA. But at least it would be rather unique.

I was pissed off when those "booze is good for your health" studies came out because they included the disclaimer that it was moderate amounts of hooch that would keep you going and if used in excess it was worse than no booze at all.
I'm happy to see no such disclaimer here.

Hey hey hey, I don't think mastrubation is illegal now a days, well unless you live in Texas or what not.
And you don't think they know the side effects?
You know what, SEX stops cancer, it aint mastubation, it is anything that allows you to release. I mean if the prostate isn't going to be used, yes you will have a higher chance for cancer, its like not using your :name body part: it will be functionless when you try using it again.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to confuse anyone. I do use it as a medical abbreviation. My thought was to make the heading as short as possible!
It is ejaculation no matter the method that is thought to prevent Prostate Cancer. I totally agree that sex with your significant other is the preferred method!

No purchase necessary. Certain restrictions apply. Void where prohibited by law.

An?!?!? 1 mastubation a day?!!? Like 90% of the post-pubescent male population masturbates at least once per day.
Frequent masturbation may be really good for you.
I think I push the limits of frequent - but it looks like I'm gunna be as prostate cancer free as a female at the rate I'm going.
Great news ;).

Yup, good stuff everyone, thats why fit people don't get much cancer.
Also I believe I'm not gonna get much cancer.
Anyway, if you don't have a girl friend (gay/bi don't take it personally) for guys I think this path is the way to go.

you realize that your faith is hurting you, and that pleasure is not a sin, and can have significant benifits too.
If your allergic to pumpkin I guess you've got yourself a little problem :).

No, I think we should discuss who among us has contributed most to battling the obesity problem in America.
The answer is obvious.
Richard Simmons! Duh!
Anyway, despite the amazingly frequent insistance that sex is actually better for you than masturbation, those of us who have been in multi-year relationships can probably all attest that even those relationships that went through periods of multiple-times-daily sex+felatio w/wight loss program+more sex, even for months, it will eventually boil down to the point where you are not getting it every single day, unless you quite simply never argue, your girl never has bad cramps, and work/fatigue/intoxication/mess just never come into play. Not terribly likely, but hey, it could happen. For the rest of us, the only way to ensure you're getting your, uh, maximum health benefit, is to pull through the self-serve lane at least occasionally.
BTW, regular masturbation -- not sex, but masturbation -- has been proven to be a great asset to successful/high stress individuals. I wonder why that is?

If a person between the ages fop 20 - 50 years of age ejaculation daily, there is still a risk of prostate cancer. It's not 100% preventive. The reduction in the risk is about 1/3. There is still genetics, environmental, and dietary factors that play a part you your risk. If I were 20 - 50, I think it would be worth it to decrease the risk any way possible!
