Four at present, two from the Uni, one general academic and one for the tech boys, and two personal, one legacy and the current ntl one.

my wife has one and my daughter (6) has 2! One at home and one at school:D

This was my thoughts as well.

I have 2 accounts that definitely get checked daily.

I have 3 accounts that I check ~monthly.

Two of these accounts each have 3-4 forwarding hooks.

So that's roughly a dozen.

I also have 2-3 web accounts that automatically include an email address when you signt up, but which I never use.


And of course, most of them get too much SPAM. On the Mac-based account, SPAMFIRE helps quite a bit.

I'm surprised "infinite" isn't an option. I get mail to all addresses at several domains. As a result, my email address is different each time I give it out. Helps with tracking. :)

I have 5 total. .Mac, my school's email address, 2 from my home's ISP email address, and one realllly old one that I haven't cancelled yet. My school email address is my main one (for the most part), and my .Mac and home ISP email addresses collect the junk. :)

Well, let's see...

I have five that are primary.
Two from Uni. (One is a general Uni address, the other is the departmental email address.)
One from my ISP.
One for my Martial Arts school.
One Hotmail, which I use for signing up places that are likely to give me SPAM.

However, like others here, I also have some emails that get to me from redirects. That adds two more.

Plus, I receive all emails that reach my Martial Arts school that aren't destined for a specific account. So, I guess that's an infinite number more.

Oh, and then there's my rarely checked Yahoo email address. That's another.

So, I guess I have infinity plus eight. :-)

I have 7. Two I forgot about until I was reading this post.

Let' see.... 1 work email (I forgot about this one because I'm on summer vacation) 1 through .mac, 1 through yahoo (don't really use it, but if I don't want to give anyone my real email... it is useful), 3 through my ISP (my main account for family and friends, one for newsletters etc., and one that used to be for all of the above that I'm trying to weed out) and then 1 through the MUG I just joined (that's the other one I forgot!)

I use a new, temporary, unique address each time I order a product online. Discounting those, I have two for business (one for mail directed to a Mac, the other for mail directed to a PC), one for use with bulletin boards, one used by my family, one through membership in a professional organization, one I haven't yet decided how to use, and three that I use for testing the spam filter I'm writing. I think that's 9. I'm so confused :( !

I answered two, but forgot about one of them. I've got my "normal" one, which is spam-free, I've got my spam one, which I check over about once a week, and I've got my course-provided one, which I haven't checked in about a month because I haven't had any classes for ages.

3 AOL email addresses in one account (Historical reasons... had them since the late 80s -- back when AOL was Mac only -- I've still got the AOL 0.9x software around here somewhere.)

That's a total of 10 email addresses. Five of them I have my main machine check every couple minutes. Two of them I check every day or so. The rest I check when I think of it -- probably every couple weeks.

Between them all I get about 75 ligitimate emails a day and over 3 times that many spam emails each day. (The AOL addresses are the worst and have a signal to noise ratio of about 1 in 100.):mad:

I've had upwards of 10 to 12 accounts at a time, but several of them were rarely used or were discarded a long time ago. I have about two or three main e-mail accounts. Especially at the university I gathered around 5 e-mail accounts, but they will eventually disappear.

@mac.com which I try to keep as spam free as possible, I consider this my permanent email address

@cmu.edu my work address. I use this for work and for work related things

@myisp.com this is for all things junk, when i need to give an address for something like a product registration, I give them this address (or the work address for some things baby related)

I also have an @msn.com address I check once every month, and @yahoo.com I check once every 3 months but use my.yahoo.com daily.

I think that might be it.

A breakthrough! My doctor say's it's 43 seperate personalities... 44 if you count the the inanimate polished steel rod. Now that he has discovered this, he says I should now concentrate on trying to resist replying to silly topics online.
