I have a PowerPC G4 desktop (the white alien unit). Recently the following has happened (in this order):

1. Refused to participate in firewire exchange with my laptop.
2. Overall slowdown in peformance
3. iPhoto refused to allow connection with my digital camera.
4. iPhoto became so slow it is no longer useable.
5. When I click on desktop the Finder menu appears.
6. In Camino, sometimes the whole background desktop disappears but reappears with several clicks on it.
7. In Camino , Finder menu started appearing when I clicked in the browser.
8. When I put in a CD-R to start takieng photos and music off the machine (thinking maybe it wasa memory problem), it gave me a Code 13 Error.

Google searches and apple.com searches produced only a definition of Error 13, but no directions on what to do about it.

Can anyone offer me any suggestions here?

Thanks,

Em

Archive and reinstall the OS to see if that helps
