My Wheel on my mouse has stopped working, I've obviously done something, it will scroll up (ie to the top of the page), but not down

I have gone via preferences to the mouse & tried all 4 settings?

Anyone got any ideas??

this will happen regularly with it

what's happened is that dirt has gotten in the mechanism

turn it of (or unplug it in the case of wired)...turn it upside down...and rub very vigorously (like don't hold back at all) with a slightly damp lint free cloth in all directions over the scroll ball

you should get the mouse back to original working condition🙂
