I m searching for a name for my new IMac, and could nt find a suitable one.
What are your computers named, and do you know one I could use, or you think would just suit to a 17'' Imac ;-)

Apart from the obvious: BigMac, and call your system disk the MacDrive there must be better things to think of.
How about the Spacecowboy?
I kinda like: virtuoso
But actually, what do you want? A funny name? A tough name? A cute name? A realistic name? A gerenated name?

Well, my current computer names aren't all that creative...my iMac is "iMac" & my Powerbook is "PowerBook G4." :D
As for your iMac, try brainstorming names based on something personal to u possibly? What are your interests? Is there a special someone in your life u would want to name it after?
u know I'm joking on that last suggestion, right? ;)

There's an internet RFC regarding naming your computers. Since you will get more computers in the future, you need to select a convention, e.g. names of flowers, birds, dogs, girls, etc.
One option is to go to the National Weather Service site and get their list of hurricane names. They have four lists they rotate over year by year.
It's generally considered a bad idea to name the computer after the type of computer it is.

My iBook's name is "Timmy the Gaypro", named after the legendary portable computer, the Kaypro:

Y'know, it's funny: I used to name EVERYTHING when I was little--even my toothbrushes--but I can never come up with anything to name my computers. I'm not even really sure it's necessary, except to identify them on your network.
I think the TiBook is going to end up being the Yeetanium, though. :D

I'm like the others, just call it your iMac G4. Or like me I call my Power Mac G4, G4!
