I'm not too sure about whether or not it's genuine, but it looks cool!... And it's not unlike Apple to accidentally leak things on their site...
Anyway, enjoy. (I didn't take/make this picture. My friend showed me and I felt like sharing. If it's been posted before, sorry)

Didn't Apple file for a patent that allows the plastic case to change colors?
Edit: I found (http://www.macobserver.com/columns/devilsadvocate/2004/20030813.shtml) it.

The type is very un-Apple, and the middle of their biggest marketing blitz ever would be a strange time to start toying with identity stuff, dontcha think?

I think it is fake because wouldn't there be a small reflection beneath the small apple on the bottom?

I wouldn't know. I'm using Windows so I can't see that sort of information... as far as I know... But he could have pasted the screen shot into Photoshop, or something... not that I think it's genuine but that's what he may have done...
LOL, and I was just about to point out that the screenshot also has a beautiful view of Photoshop CS 2 in the quicklaunch bar.
And I've just noticed a beautiful view of the guy who made it's email address in the bottom right hand corner :D

Besides all the Photoshop things people have found. In the page itself the URL is www.apple.com, as in Apple's homepage. But if you go take a gander over at Apple.com the homepage is still the iPhone graphics that have been up for a couple weeks now. I know it's obvious but I didn't see anyone say this yet.

You are kidding right?
Military time. 24 hours and there is no AM PM. 11:59pm= 23:59
0:38 = 12:38am

Nope!
23:59 > 00:00
Ask your mum if you can stay up to watch it one night!

In military time 24:38 is 38 minutes past the 24 hour clock making it 00:38 or 12:38AM.There is no 24:38.
And the "screen grab" Is fake.Apple would never change their homepage accidentally like that. When the new iMac comes it will show the computer not some wavy lines.

If you're saying what I think you're saying...
Umm IF this was supposed to be a "leak" obviously it wouldn't be on apple's homepage
...with that 'IF' in there.
Then I completely agree with you. If that 'IF' was not supposed to be there, I can honestly say I'm a little lost with your syntax and meaning.

That's what I get for not re-reading what I am writing, the IF is supposed to be there...

i think it has the wrong font for iMac. Apple wouldn't do that.

Well (in no way trying to be rude)...think about it for a second. 24:38 would mean there are more than 24 hours in a day. As mentioned it should be 00:38.

Yes, my stupidity has been corrected (http://forums.macrumors.com/showpost.php?p=3918994&postcount=22) already (http://forums.macrumors.com/showpost.php?p=3918996&postcount=23).

It doesn't have to be 00:38. The leading zero is optional in 24-hour time, although it is commonly used, particularly in computers. However, this is entirely user-configurable in XP, depending on whether you input "H" or "HH" in the hour field on the Time screen.

Agreed, if it was on the front of apple.com, these forums would be flooded!

that is an obvious fake. (font, colors, shapes, sizes, & c.) However, I have taken the image and decided to make a better (imho) fake of it. Here is my version:

This just goes to show how easy it is for a fake to float around the internet! Although I think this needs a little bit of reflection in the design to add to the "fake" reality of it!
