When I was watching WWDC '07 Kenote
I found that Expose is an app in new release of Mac OS X.
It is visible when SJ is showing Stacks in slow motion.
I don't know what kind of process was it earlier (System Events run it???) but I'm quite sure it wasn't an app.

Launching Expose has few results so it can not launch
one process. It can not launch all of them either.
It has no sense for me.

What do you think about it?

Hmm, I did not notice this- but I guess I was not paying enough attention. :o :)

It was part of the Dock before.

You weren't paying attention. IIRC it was even in the original WWDC 06 Leopard preview.

I don't see how this would be useful apart from an obvious sign to switchers that there is this functionality.

Or perhaps it is there as part of the development/debug process and it will go back to a hidden one on final release.

That will explain everything.
We will see...

Thanks!
Now I will now:)

I'm sure it's been reported somewhere that this is a baby app that calls the existing stuff. Regardless of the implementation details, having things like this with icons could be nice when keyboard and hot corner access aren't ideal (accessibility aids, launchers, touch controls come to mind).
