I'm sorry, but this time IBM is way ahead in the field of great flat screen displays with the T560 Monitor.

If I didn't have a 22" Apple Cinema at work, I'd find a way to slap this baby on my QuickSilver..if that were possible.

*sigh* Wish Apple had done this...or, then again, maybe you all out there think it's junk. For me, I'm in love with it...

www.ibm.com

navigate to the Monitors page.

Click on the "New! T560 Monitor Tour"

You have to admit, it is a nice display, but the new Sony screens are just as nice. Better yet, if I had £3,000 to spare, the new 23" Apple! In my dreams!

The positioning features are great, but it's only a 15" and it costs $619.

They don't give any specs on viewing angle, constrast ratio or brightness ratio either.

The design is good, but is it backed up by quality performance?

The only thing really groundbreaking is the fact that the monitor can be reoriented from horizontal to vertical. And I'm not really sure how useful I'd find this.

Plus its the same old boxy black enclosure. Yawn. :o

Start with one of these:
http://www.ekornes.com/usa/index_stressless.htm]

Add a pole mount like the ones hospitals use to support an IBM flatscreen and keyboard/peripherals.

Modify the screen(s): http://www.trolltouch.com/products/lcd.html]

Add this: http://www.kinesis-ergo.com/] The evolution keyboard.

Tower goes beside the chair and this: http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S-2PHfsL8feof/ProdView.asp?s=0&c=4&g=50100&I=158MDRDS51&o=m&a=0]
goes on your head plugged into this card: http://www.soundblaster.com/products/macintosh/]

Add a side table, airstick and Intuos pad (I like the 12x18) and you'll need some one to bring you food and water.

:D

Jesus, for that kind of money you could practically encircle yourself in cinema displays. :D

What do you guys think of the chair & arm-mounted peripherals?

Do what I did and buy a hi-power projector, then have a large screen (amazing for games) and its powerful enough to have when lights are on and curtains and open.
