(PS3) Will Madden 08 be @ 60 fps?

Will the PS3 Madden be at 60 fps and/or 1080p? Read the NCAA review at IGN that says that game is at 60 fps and runs slow. In the article I think it says Madden runs at 60 fps which would be great. Can anyone confirm this?

Madden on the 360 will be 60fps
Madden on the PS3 will be 30fps

I have played a few games of NCAA on the PS3 @30 fps and I have not noticed a single issue. The 360 would slow down on NCAA 07 for me but it is a lot better this year and I have noticed no slow downs. The PS3 has been as smooth as the 360 '08 version.

EA obviously are having as much trouble as all the other studios in harnessing the so called power of the cell.

Give them another year and they may be able to hit the 60 fps with Madden 09.

However... I honestly believe this so called 'graphical leap' that a lot of ps3 owners are expecting from the PS3 in which it suddenly surpasses anything on the 360 - is NEVER going to happen, and it's a truly a fool hardy belief.

Isn't this more an issue with the GPU rather than the Cell? Possibly a limit thanks to the less RAM?

Probably has a lot to do with PS3 getting the ported code as well.

Furthermore, we brought up the story 1UP broke a few weeks ago about Madden NFL 08 and All-Pro Football 2K8 both running at 60fps on Xbox 360 and 30fps on PS3. Tretton's response: Sony did it with MLB 08 and NBA 07, so why can't Electronic Arts and 2K Sports?

"On our NBA game and our MLB game, it will ship at 60fps. We win the baseball battle handily against our competition, so I guess we took away that concern by building a game that does take advantage of the technology in the two sports we participate in. In the case of a sport we don't participate in, that we're not offering at a standard comparable [to the other] platform, I guess the challenge the publisher faces is that somebody doesn't buy it on PS3, or they buy it on PS2 or buy it on a competitive platform," he said.

I believe the difference is GREATER than that of the leap between PS1+PS2.
(not the difference between PS3+360, but between PS2+PS3)

I've seen trailers....I thought they were gameplay footage. Its looks great don't get me wrong, but Gears of War looks similar. Certianly "close"....plus GoW was '06, Killzone 2 is '08

I have seen it. BioShock looks better graphically.

As for things like ook destructable walls/pillars then GOW has those and so does to an even bigger extent Stranglehold - both on the 360.

So prey tell - how in your opinion and what specifically 'could not be done' and please let us know your technical knowledge of the development kits and hardware that makes you claim such a thing so emphatically...

360 can do blooming and blur effects just as good as the Ps3. ;)

But the 360 doesn't do it the majority of the time to hide graphical defects because it doesn't need to. :p

Madden is a big seller. xbox has a larger user base in the US and is getting the better version.

No doubt Madden will outsell it, but I hope All-Pro Football gets some respectable sales numbers so 2k/Visual Concepts gets the payola to work on APF2k9.

I hate Madden...and love 2k Football. :D

Demo of APF2k8 made me happy; I can't wait to pick it up.

2k football was great....it was a all around game...ran circles around madden but I think this pro football 07 won't out due madden this time which is a shame.....we are stuck with one average NFL football game
