View Full Version : Can eject, but can't close disc tray under XP (Mac Pro)

I can eject both of my superdrives, but they won't close. The eject button shows up on the screen, but doesn't do anything during close. I don't want to push in my disc trays, this causes a shorter life.

Anyone? I can't call apple because they don't support Bootcamp...yet

Did you install the Mac Drivers for Windows? It should just work, do you see the eject icon when you eject a disc?

Yes I have installed the drivers...and yes I do see the eject icon. When the drive tray opens, I hold down the disk icon on my keyboard, it shows up on the screen, then dissapears, but the drive doesn't close...tried it a hundred times, the only way to close it is by hand.

You might have to go to "My Computer" and right click on the drive that is open and right click on it and press "Eject". See if that works.

Eject only ejects the drive....I found a small utility, and made .bat batch files to close SuperDrive 1 & 2.
