Top 7th of ipod dead

A few days ago the top 7th of my ipod nano screen went dead. I can see everything on the screen except the top portion (so in particular, I cannot see the battery meter). The top still lights up white with the rest of it, but when i restart, and the black/gray apple comes up no pixels are black/gray in the upper portion. Might there be a way to fix this? Might it get worse?

I wouldnt know how to fix this, you might want to talk to apple. There is this I found a few days ago that seems promising though.
