File won't delete...

I've got a .html file in my trash that just won't delete - either on normal empty, or secure. Any ideas why this might be? No error messages or anything.

Either log out then back in or re-boot.It will be gone then.Or you will then be able to empty the trash.

Afraid that hasn't worked, tried a log out, a reboot, a shut down...nothing :S
ANy other ideas? 🙂 It's not a big problem, but it's annoying as hell

Repair permissions.

Other than that try Apple's discussions.

Also I would strongly recommend installing Tinkertool. It can delete any file and has many more great maintenance tools.

When this happens, I usually just move the file to my desktop, then open Terminal and type:
rm -f ~/Desktop/<filename>

That gets rid of it.
