I'm a newbie to the MAC and color, so take it easy on me kids.:)

When you plug in a new monitor, do you use colorsync or adobe gamma to get your color profile straight? How about hardware color tools like gretagMacbeth or ColorVision? Should I purchase one of these and use it over colorsync and adobe gamma? How does all of this stuff work?

*I am doing mostly print and video work right now.

Also, how does this work if say I should plug in an Apple Cinema Display? Do these displays need color calibration as well?

Thanks for all of the help (in advance).
