Well, I am buying lots of stuff for my iBook these days!

Someone is going to sell me a new NetGear HE102 802.11a access point:

http://www.netgear.com/products/prod_details.asp?prodID=119&view=sb

I use a hub at home, I don't have a router. Will I be able to just hook this up to my hub and access my other computers? is this all I need to get my iBook to access my LAN through airport?

Anyone use this access point? any feedback?

Thanks! :)

There's your problem. It's "a". Airport is "b" and Extreme is "g".

"b" and "g" are cross communicatable, however "a" is at much higher transmission frequency and not compatible with Airport cards.

However, it would still make a good wired LAN router.

Thanks, you just saved me $75! It is brand new, but no point if I can't use it for my iBook. :p
