Hi I was wondering what is the fastest way to deal with assigning new colors
to a document that has multiple layers in it.

I'm in Illustrator, and I need to change several objects that are black and various shades of gray to a blue color and various screens of that blue
pantone.

I was able to change some of the objects to the new pantone very easily, but
I am now stuck because when I select a certain object and then use the
magic wand (the y key) to select anything that is exactly like this object, it selects stuff that is not the same. To be more specific, I selected an object that
looked like a white stroke, used the wand, and then all these other strokes that are not white got selected. There are probably hundreds of these little objects, so there is no way I can do this one by one. How can I avoid selecting these black objects? I tried to ungroup the whites from the blacks, but that didn't seem to work.

Anybody have any ideas?

Nicrose

Does the Select>Same>... menu do what you are looking for?
