Design Conference/Trainings/Happy Hour

Basically I been searching for some source like AIGA, where I get informed of Design events happening where I live. I am having a hard time; Adobe is complicated to navigate, AIGA its ok but some things are not my style and other conferences are more Business sided (how to low ball the creative team). Anyway if someone has a website where they post wide range of design events (not discriminating any organization) would be awesome to share because I been looking for 2 weeks and nothing (How had my hopes up but all business so far).

Obviously you're not a golfer.
i find stuff like that on unBeige and Be A Design Group a lot of the time. beyond that i know of no "master" list of events, (but maybe there should be one... hmmmm...) but you should also check the message boards of any design schools near you, as well as the local AIGA sites as opposed to national.

i would also peruse some of the design magazines' sites / forums for stuff too.
