Double checking this. I've heard the visuals slow down when driving an external screen, particularly a big one.
(Dangit Apple, just put a cover under the hard drive in the MBP to make it easy to change!!!)

Extended desktop and video mirroring: Simultaneously supports full native resolution on the built-in display and up to 1920 by 1200 pixels on an external display, both at millions of colors
its all here (http://www.apple.com/macbook/specs.html)
I've heard they're laggy on extended desktop

Yes it can drive 1920x1200. But its a bit laggy with things like Expose or anything else requiring the GPU.

Okay, thanks. I'm going to be mainly using my laptop with an external screen (at LEAST 8 hours a day), so slow/laggy video is not good. :(

I find it's only laggy with an extented desktop, it seems to be fine at 1680 x 1050 when I run it in clamshell mode with a keyboard and mouse.
I hope this helps :apple:

I believe it'll drive it. But like they said, kinda laggy, as the MB really doesn't have a GPU.
