Today, well, on the 25th, I purchased a 12" Powerbook for college, along with Keynote, AppleCare, and .Mac membership. I was setting it up, and everything seemed to be going fine. But I realized there is no word processing software included on it. Is this normal? Why is this? It's a pain I have to go back to buy AppleWorks because it's not included with the computer.

Yes it's normal, they only include AppleWorks on the consumer models. As to why, I don't know.

Apple assumes Artists and Videographers can't write, which explains the lack of an included AppleWorks.
