DVI? How to Connect Monitor to MacBook?

I'm going to be purchasing this 22" Viewsonic Viewdock monitor. What type of cable do I need to buy to hook up the monitor to my white MacBook? (A link to the cable on the Apple store would be great😀). The info on the screen is posted in the link below.

the macbook has a mini-dvi port, so you'll need a mini-dvi to dvi adapter.

In the reviews for the Apple Mini-DVI to DVI connector it says that the cable is onyl 6 inches. Is there anyway to buy an extention? Does Apple make a longer version? Thanks.

it's only meant to be an adapter, not the actual cable you hook up to the monitor. whichever monitor you get should come with a dvi cable, but you'll need the adapter to connect it to the macbook.
