I don't really feel comfortable just giving out the reserve price. It is hidden for a reason. I can tell you that my reserve price is way under what the actual selling price of the laptop is.

Reserve prices (especially hidden ones) suck. It's called an auction for a reason.
/2 cents.

I just don't understand hidden reserves. If you won't sell under a given price, have the bidding start at that price. There you go. If no one wants it at your price, no bids, no one is deceived into thinking they might get a bargain.

I figure you as the buyer can decide, 'what is the highest price I will pay for this?' and you can put it in as your limit. If you get it you get it, if you not what they heck you tried.
Have a wonderful day. :)

Youll get more money without a reserve. Reserves drive many potential buyers away from the auction, even though they may bid higher on another auction.

Yea, I am kinda seeing that right now. I didn't figure it would cause such a commotion to have a reserve on my products. If I had it to do over I would probably get rid of the reserve. Unfortunately now that there are bids, I couldn't change it anyways.
:)
I do appreciate the lesson. I hope not everyone is turned off by my having a reserve price.

I like the reserve price idea because its like insurance but if any of my potential buyers ( like the people here) ask I tell them simply because if they think they definately can afford that price they will watch/bid up the auction.. So in the end set a reasonable reserve and if anyone emails you or asks in an IM tell them, your only losing potential customers. Also next time you may want to design a better auction, that can drive price up too.

Thank you so much for your input! (PS, I really like the Simpsons reference with the Kwyjibo.) I will definately work on making a more nice looking auction the next time I post something.

I have to work the last day of the auction. So if you have any question I will try and answer them whilst at work. If not I will be home the last 2 1/2 hours before the auction ends to answer questions.
Have a wonderful day! :)

There haven't been any questions in awhile, but just in case there are please send them to pablotaco21@hotmail.com. I will be at work until a couple hours before the auction is over, and that is the only way I would possibly be able to get to your question. (And that's only if it is not busy.) For the sake of my laziness let us hope it isn't. :)

I am freaking out now. I looked at the box and found an error I made! I don't know how to fix it now :( The Powerbook only has 10GB of hard drive. :( I am so sorry for inadvertantly lying. I could have sworn that is was 20GB... I don't know what to do about that now.
but I will write down the rest of the box for you so you know for sure what is all with this computer:
400MHz
128 PC100 SDRAM (updated by earlier owner to 384MB)
15.2 in color display
8mb of sdram video memory
Dvd-Rom
PC Card/CardBus slot
Firewire, infrared, and sound output ports two use ports
VGA and S-video outports
Sleep swappable lithium-ion battery for up to 5 hours of running time
10/11 base-t ethernet and 56k v.90 modem
Airport Wireless
Preinstalled MAC OS and other bundled software
Size and weight: 1.0 by 13.4 by 9.5 in. 5.3lbs.
Again I am SO sorry for this error!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:( :( :( (Does anyone know how I can fix it to make it better?! Ebay won't let me change it anymore. I have e-mailed the top couple of bidders, but two e-mails came back. This stinks!
