I dont know how many BMW drivers we have here, but I figured I would post this here in addition to the BMW forums, in case anyone is interested.

FS: European Tray with sliding cover custom modified for an Apple Ipod (gen1/gen2) This piece replaces your cupholders, and has a custom, black feltlined base to securely hold the Apple Ipod. Note that this was specific to my 10gb model, other units may be slightly thicker or thinner, although I left enough height clearance so there should be no issues (no gaurantees, however). Its a well designed setup, easily viewable and accessible to both driver and passenger. In addition, you can close the tray over it and hide it easily, good for parking where such an item could be an easy target for thieves.

Also included is a custom modified firewire charger cable (with safetly circuitry) so you can hardwire charge the ipod while in the base.

Audio feeding into your stereo will depend completely on your current setup. If you buy it, I can help lead you down the right path to connect it based on your audio setup.

Asking $130 shipped (price being materials, design time, cost of the tray, cost of the charger) DOES NOT INCLUDE THE IPOD.

Might you be designing one for a 2001 Boxster?
