camino nightlies halted?

last nighlty was 7-15-03 :(

what gives? there's always been daily releases up until a few eeks ago

i tried searching on google, but most links went to mozilla's ftp site or a mirror

Last nightly was pretty slow.. hmm.. I hope this isn't end of Camino.

Maybe the guy's on a well deserved vacation? :) I'd think you could give the poor guy a break during the best part of summer. ;D

From what I've heard, they're looking for new machines. The guy who had the machines was fired (as part of the great Netscape purge of 2003 in AOL). Once they get them, nightlies will resume.

I understood that Camino was dead and Firebird was replacing it and that's been a while.

I thought that camino had just taken a long break from development. The mailing list has only just restarted, about a week ago (i subscribe to them).

From the camino forum:
"On another note, interest has picked up again on Camino development. I've got a couple people working on the download manager as well as a full bookmark infrastructure rewrite in progress by someone else. What a nice thing to return to from a tiring week in Cali. "

There should be some development soon.
