McAfee AV on Vista Ultimate over Bootcamp blue screens

Hi there,

Has anyone been able to install McAfee antivirus on the Macbook Pro Vista installation? In the middle of the install, Windows blue screened and then it went into a blue screen loop. I had to boot into Safe Mode and do a system restore to get back to a good image.

I'm sure McAfee works on Vista installed on a Dell or some such other intel PC.

I am not sure what went wrong but its strange.

Dont install MaCafee or Norton, they are both very bad. You should get the free version of AVG, its better then both.

This is probably a Windows consistency issue. A lot of anti-viruses don't work with Vista unless you get the absolute latest version. Check if your version is supported.
