This is purely speculation, but my friend bought a powerbook yesterday, and suddenly today the order was cancelled! She used a debit card with an ample amount of cash, purchase went through, etc. I just bought mine a few days ago and none of this happened.
Perhaps the new ones are on their way....?

perhaps her debit card (most do) as a daily spending cap (perhaps 1000 bucks a day) that when she ordered the machine, she went over the cap?

Its interesting to see that *Apple* is out of stock on all of them. Looks like there will be an updated soon. Still love to know why its taking so long....

Hmm..I checked the 15 and 17 though, and they are all shipping either same day or 1-3.
of course, WE make a big deal over every update, I dont think for the general populous the processor upgrades are a big deal. Even the new 15 wouldnt be a suprise, its going ot be a hybrid of the 12 and 17.

So the Apple store says 1-3 days, while that particular site says "- -", right?
I don't think that's a big deal.
