Wifi doesn't autoconnect

My wifi shuts off when my phone goes into sleep, after I wake it up I just have edge. I would have to go into settings and select my wifi network to get it again. This didn't happen before :confused:

But how do you know WiFi is off? Is the setting actually off or is it simple not showing in the status bar (blue E instead)?

The setting is on, I know the wifi isn't on because after the phone come back from sleep the iPhone would show the E for edge on the top left corner. I have the phone since launch and it didn't have this problem. I just notice this problem a few days ago.

try going into settings>general>reset>reset network settings. I used to have this same problem and doing this did the trick for me.
