Today I decided to restore my iphone to version 1.01 because Ifuntastic had killed the itunes-auto launch when the iphone is connected. However even after I restored the iphone...itunes still won't open when the iphone is plugged in. I thought a restore would bring the itunes auto-launch feature back. Anyone else having this issue?

Itunes never automaticly launched for me since I got the phone.
Is there a feature anywhere in Itunes where we can turn this on and off?
when I plug in the phone it asks me something about the camera connected.
Launch microsoft scanner and camera wizard?
sucks :(

I finally got the auto-launch working again. All I had to do was install itunes 7.3.1 over again. You should try reinstalling itunes to see if this resolves your issue.

Cool, its worth the try.
For some reason it always opens up Itunes when I plug in my Ipod nano just not the iphone.

It recognizes it as a camera and opens up a photo app just like mine does instead of Itunes.

1. Open iTunes manually
2. Connect your iPhone
3. On the Summary tab screen, uncheck "Automatically sync when this iPhone is connected"
4. Click "Apply"
5. No check the "Automatically sync when this iPhone is connected" checkbox
6. Click "Apply" - you may be prompted to install the iTunes Helper. If so, install it.
That should fix it for you.
