Dashboard probs.

Hi all

Well there is now big deal in this.
- My dashbord is totally blank.
It's pretty wierd. How can this be? :)

You haven't run anything to disable Dashboard have you?

Not as far as i know, but my Libary map got totally screwed some days ago.. Maybe thats the reason :s

What do you mean by a screwed library map?

Ohm.. Well i renamed my user-map... And then it got ****ed up.. :s

I suddenly i had 3 Libary maps.. i did delete 2 of them, and all my settings did reset..

Isn't there a place where i can maybe downloade the default settings with the Calculator weather-forecast and so on ? :)

Put in your OSX disc and see if there is any options to reinstall Dashboard.

Might be, never checked to be honest.

If its accessible from the OS X discs then you could use Pacifist to install just Dashboard. www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/6812

Well..

I've now installed the "xtra applications" on the Mac disc.. Nothing happened..
- Guess i'll do fine with my dashboard as it is.. Though i would like a Calculator :)

Are there any other problems from the renaming incident? Maybe have a look through this (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=107854). If there are a lot of problems still, then maybe look at a quick Archive & Install (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=107120), too. In future, don't rename anything that you haven't personally created. It's a pretty good rule of thumb I picked up from the wise and illustrious CanadaRAM a while back. :)
