I don't need new iMac

I want it, but don't need it. On the seventh will I be able to find a CHEAP used 17" or 20" intel iMac??? Where do you recommend used ones, and lastly, my dad is REALLY picky about used stuff. How do I convince him I need a new mac mac, but not the best, and that buying online is (maybe) the only way (I will pay him back later)
 
The price will not drop that much, but it may drop.

Check CraigLists for your area or even Apples refurb store*, I see no problem buying used, but if he wont buy used, make him make up the extra for new. 😉

I have checked there before. EXPENSIVE!!! I found a really nice mac, details soon
 
I have been looking at imac g4s. They are slower then my mini now. I found a imac g5 with EVERYTHING +photoshop but auction ending so ya....
 
How much is the difference in Apple refurb vs. used on Ebay or elsewhere. If I was in your position it would be worth it to spend a bit more to go refurb and have the full Apple warranty.

Macs hold their value on ebay. You see G5 iMacs going for £650, when a new Intel one is £1000 new.
