Problem with sending mail on dot mac

I am having a problem with dot mac.
I can not send mail via dot mac mail box on my computer ibook, i have dsl via earthlink,
this problem started within the past 24 hours.
I can send my mail using the dot mac internet site via apple web site.
What is going on??:confused:

please post some specifics. error messages, etc. i suggest you also check out the discussion forum for Mail at Apple's website. the answer you are looking for is there for sure. lots of other useful info too. always go there first. you'll find your answer much quicker.

Since both webmail.mac.com and Mail.app both work, I'm guessing that something's wrong with your mail.app settings.
