The Core 2 Duo Macbooks can take 2Gb So-DIMMS, but Apple doesn't advise it...don't really know why though.

Anyways, Cybergypsy, PM me on that price. Hopefully I can pick up this machine. Thanks! Oh yeah, have you tried or seen anyone else add another 2Gb for a 4Gb RAM on the Macbook?

You can put two 2Gb sticks in it, and it will recognize them, but it'll only be able to use 3Gb. To get the 4Gb, I've had to buy a MBP.
