Hey everyone,
I just bought a 400MHz AGP PowerMac G4 on craigslist for really cheap and now want to upgrade some of the hardware. here is what I am looking for:
1) Right now it only has 192mb of ram in 3 sticks, I would like to get atleast 512 in the system. That means either one stick of 512 or a couple of 256 sticks.
2) I'm not completely familiar with this system, how many hard drives can it take? and what are the maximum size drives it can take? I'd like to get a second drive to put into the system. I know it takes ATA drives. 80gigs or something of that size is what I am looking for.
3) Anyone know of a place to find cheap upgrades for the graphics card and processor? It has a ATI 16mb video card.
I really don't want to spend more than a couple hundred to upgrade the whole system with RAM, Hard drives and anything else. I know this system won't blow me away after the upgrades, but I just want to have some fun and beef it up a bit.
So, anyone have parts I am looking for? I can pay through paypal. I'm not sure on prices, I'm more hoping someone has parts sitting around that will fit this system that I buy cheap.

Macsales.com (http://www.Macsales.com) for alot of upgrades at reasonable prices, the faster processors are kind of lacking right now, because I believe they are upgrading the line. But usually, you can find a 1.4ghz G4 for 169.99 (powerlogix). So keep a watch for awhile.
With the factory drive sled and cables, you can easily fit two in there, four is not so hard with the extra parts.
Keep in mind you can't go over 120 gb in a single HD without some fiddling with proprietary software, YMMV.
Read some more about your sawtooth here.

I'll keep your offer in mind. I've told others through PM that I am waiting until monday so I can talk to a couple friends over the weekend.
