Al Qaeda threats, big surprises, Massive Terror Attack

Same signs warning 9/11 was imminent apparent again

By Judi McLeod & Sean Osborne

Thursday, August 2, 2007

“Ninety days at the most” as of July 30, 2007 is the timeline predicted by counterterrorism expert Juval Aviv for an “imminent al Qaeda attack on five to seven American cities simultaneously.”

“I predict, based primarily on information that is floating in Europe and the Middle East, that an event is imminent and around the corner here in the United States. It could happen as soon as tomorrow, or it could happen in the next few months. Ninety days at the most,” said Mr. Aviv. (The Family Security Foundation, Inc., July 30, 2007).

“What they’re going to do,” he explained, “is hit six, seven or eight cities simultaneously to show sophistication and really hit the public. This time, which is the message of the day, it will not only be big cities. They’re going to try to hit rural America. They want to send a message to rural America: “You’re not protected. If you figure out that if you just move out of New York and move to Montana or to Pittsburgh, you’re not immune. We’re going (to) get you wherever we can and it’s easier there than in New York.”

This fits the latest al Qaeda threat of a “big surprise” coming America’s way.

Aviv knows of that which he speaks. He is a former Israeli Counterterrorism Intelligence Officer and has also served as a special consultant to the U.S. Congress on issues of terrorism and security. He is best known as the source of the 1985 book, Vengeance: The True Story of an Israeli Counter-Terrorist Team by Toronto-based George Jonas, on which Steven Spielberg’s film Munich was based. He is also the author of The Complete Terrorism Survival Guide. How to Travel, Work and Live in Safety (2003); and Staying Safe: The Complete Guide to Protecting Yourself, Your Family and Your Business (2004).

The New York-based Aviv is corroborated by Day of Islam author Paul V. Williams who maintains that al Qaeda is not content on blowing up one nuclear device or even simply a “dirty” nuke—but wants to explode real nuclear devices in seven U.S. cities simultaneously.”

In a recent interview with www.NewsMax.com, FBI director Robert Mueller, confirmed Williams’ main claim. Mueller said al Qaeda’s paramount goal is clear: to detonate a nuclear device that would kill hundreds of thousands of Americans.

Mueller told NewsMax that at times, the threat feels so real he lies awake at night thinking about the prospect.

Then there’s the timeline predicted by Sean Osborne, widely published intelligence expert, journalist and associate director of military affairs at the Northeast Intelligence Network (NEIN).

“I happen to assess at the moment that the time frame for a potential series of significant state-sponsored terrorist attacks within CONUS is closer to 45 days than 90. That’s my `gut feeling’ and I don’t have a $33 billion budget to back it up as DIRDHS Chertoff does,” says Osborne. “If you read my last article (Mahmud Ahadi-Nejad’s Council of War) on the NEIN website, you learned that Israeli Intelligence (Aman) knew that something along the lines of an unprecedented massive terror attack was expected 6 weeks prior to 9/11. Now they’re saying the same thing again. Six weeks is approximately 45 days.”

After reading Day of Islam Californian Terri Sami went online to see how many square miles the attack on Hiroshima affected immediately after being dropped and then realized that the anniversary of Hiroshima is August 6.

Actually, I am afraid that it would not be difficult for terrorists to take rural elementary schools hostage in a massive, coordinated attack in the U.S. heartland where emergency response units function on the voluntary or county level.

along with chertoff's "gut feeling", it's part of a propaganda campaign designed to use fear so bush can push through his latest round of changes to spy on americans more.

fear: it's all he's got left.

I'm dumbfounded that's actually legit. I really don't know what to say. It's both hilarious and completely distasteful at the same time.

The closer we get to impeachment, the more likely we are to see something happen.

IF this was the actions of the Bush Administration, wouldn't we see it in a slightly more high profile source than the Canada Free Press?
