Apparently, for the next week or two, due to back to school, CompUSA is running 5% off all Macs. I am planning on getting a new notebook for my kid .. yay!

That's a pretty common sale at compusa. I doubt that we will see new macbooks next week saying that they were updated only 2.5 months ago.

If you qualify, I'd assume buying it through Apple is cheaper, particularly if you want the iPod (if I get one, I'm giving it to my mom as a gift since I've already got a 5.5G).
