Finder Icon No Longer in Dock, Stuck On Desktop?

Alright, so this happened to my friends computer. The Finder icon is now behind the Dock. I have attached two pictures to show (one with dock up, one with dock hidden) what it looks like. I can't click on it or anything or move it. I tried restarting the computer, restarting finder, etc but it's always there.

Have you tried re-launching the dock with Tinker Tool?

I have never seen anything like this before!

Hmm...I've definitely seen this problem crop up here before. It's rare, but you're not the first to experience it. But from what I remember, a restart has always fixed the issue.

Have you tried repairing permissions?
