MBP laptop Cooler/cushtop

I'm looking for a mbp cooler that would also serve as a cushtop. I know that there is no (not that I know of) laptop cooler designed for the mbp but I'm pretty sure there should be one that it's design would be beneficial to the mbp since laptop design differs from one manufacturer to another, because I would want it to cool down my mbp.

Anyone has something to recommend to me?

what's a cushtop? :confused: I just got an ilap stand and was amazed how much cooler it keeps my mbp. It also has a wrist cushion if that's what you meant by cushtop ....:p

This -->http://lifehacker.com/software/laptop/stuff-we-like--laptop-cushtop-215014.php is a cushtop, so we can say that the iLap is a form of a cushtop. It looks very well designed, it makes a nice gap on the bottom of laptops so that air can pass under.

Now my question is, can you use the iLap "lap work" for the desk and for the lap?

i purchased the ilap yesterday and from what i have used it for so far. it is able to be used on a desk effectively. you just remove the velvet cushion and it is positioned perfectly. i would highly recommend this. so comfortable when it is on your lap.

I don't even remove the cushion, leave it on for wrist comfort :p but, yes, it works great with/without the cushion. I really love how it keeps my :apple: much cooler than before. :D

i bought an ilap about 2 weeks ago and i love it! best 50 bucks i have spent on my macbook. i mainly use it on my desk without the wrist cushion because i thought it was kind of bulky. but definitely look into buying one, they are great!

I just received the iLap and I must say that I love this thing, promising it was! The base, overall temperature of the laptop has been greatly reduced, which will most likely increase the life span and usability of your laptop in my opinion. I also noticed temperature drops in smcfan, around 6-9 degrees.

The base of the iLap is made of aluminum, an almost replica of the mbp's anodized aluminum and that greatly helps dissipating the heat buildup on the base. It may not perform as good as some fan cooler but for a painless free solution, it's that good.
