i just checked the vaja site (http://www.vajacases.com/home/home_en.html) this morning and saw that they have some additional i-volution cases with flaps to cover the screen available now.

whenever i get a new phone or any gadget, i buy about 5 cases for it since i always want different options to carry it and different styles for different activities. but i'm thinking i really like my iphone naked (except for a brando screen protector) and the vaja pouch case i just got works really well. plus, i have the pro-clip cradle to mount the iphone in my car on the dashboard, and taking it in and out of anything but a pouch case isn't practical. so, i think i'll pass on this i-volution case for the moment, but i'm sure i'll continue to be tempted and will probably break down and get one anyway in the next few months... :p

After you guys receive the cases and used them, I would like to hear some input (review) on what you thought about the case from a practical stand point. I know Vaja makes quality cases.

From the looks of it, the speakers looks 75% covered up. So would you be able to hear the phone ring? Second, to answer the phone, you have to flip off the cover and let it dangle while you answer and chat on the phone? That would seem bothersome with the cover dangling. Or even if you flip it all the way around and have you hand holding the cover flap and phone, it would seem uncomfortable for the hand.

So I wanna see what you guys/gals think of the case after you receive and use it.

Thanks

I just received my Vaja case today. I ordered the Ivolution Top SP Holster. I opted not for the clip since im more of a pocket person. My color choice was Dusty Olive w/ a birch Stripe.

My first impression of this case was WOW. The Leather looked and felt great, not to mention how good it smelled. I love the grain on the leather, and I could tell the build quality and level of detail is great. My iphone fit into it very snug but without effort. Its pretty thin and doesn't add a lot of bulk to the phone, which I appreciate very much. The front flap snaps into place without much effort and comes off just as easy. You hold it and open it all with one hand. You can either leave the flap hanging or flip it around to the back while you do whatever activity your doing, and I didn't find it obtrusive at all.

I do have a couple of minor concerns.
1. I know the leather will get dirty. That just comes with the territory. Hopefully it wont be to hard to clean and keep soft. The colors I chose, especially the birch stripe, will attract dirt. So keep that in mind while you order.

2. How well this will hold up. This is my first case from Vaja, although i have read nothing but good things, so Im curious about the clip on top. Hopefully whatever clasp in under the leather doesn't become exposed to soon. If it happens after a year or two, im willing to accept that as the life of the product and not a defect.

As you can tell I am very happy with my purchase. Easily the best case I have seen, not only for the iphone, but any phone ive had. I will definitely be buying from them again. I will probably get another one of these cases but with a clip for work. Below is a link to a few pictures of my case so you can see the color combo, although they aren't the best quality. Thanks for everyone who recommend this case. You were right on.

So, when you are talking, the case front just hangs down?.. or does it somehow snap behind the case?

How easily does it come out of the case?

Vaja makes Awesome cases! I've been using the new i-volution SP hoster for almost a week and it is nice. The craftsmanship that you find on these cases is incredible, I think the 25 day waiting period is fully worth it. The only thing I don't like about the holster is the fact that the flap attaches on the bottom and not on the top, and the flap hooks onto the top of the phone instead of using magnets or some other means. If you can afford it, I'd definitely recommend any case Vaja makes.

So would you think after time, the hook used to keep the top cover in place will eventually leave a wear mark or scuffs on the top of the iphone casing?
