Call Of Duty 2 Help

After I dragged the Call of Duty 2 folder off the cd and into my Macintosh HD, it takes roughly 28 minutes for all the copies to be filed. I then proceeded to double-click on the Call of Duty 2 icon to only encounter this message "Please insert the Call of Duty 2 DVD and click OK" but the DVD is already in the drive. PLEASE HELP.. i just bought this game today and there should be no reason why this isn't working properly.
 
Are you sure you were supposed to drag it to the desktop? It may have an installer. If not, make sure you installed the latest patch (is it 1.3?) before trying it.
 
Try ejecting the DVD and remounting it. The other thing you may want to try is restarting in general.
 
Sorry for resurrecting an old topic, but I have the same problem right now on my new 2,8 ghz iMac. Have you found a sollution? Is there anything I can do?

Both the patch and the remounting hasn't helped.
