Final Cut resizing

when I use FCP on my macbook it fits the screen perfectly, but when I plug it into a screen I have to resize all the windows. is there anyway of doing this automatically without having to change the size of each window??

Go to Window->arrange->Something like standard editing.

And if you're using a custom layout you can set a custom layout for your macbook and one for your external.

As you get more familiar with FCP, it's definitely worth it to save your favorite custom window layout(s). You can even hot-key them.
