How to burn a dvd so it plays on dvd player

I Ripped my sisters sweet 15 onto my computer using mac the ripper. how do i burn it on a dvd so it plays on the dvds like any normal dvd

Use iDVD from the iLife suite.

the file you have now on your computer, what is the format of it?

there is a app called "Burn", you can look it up at www.macupdate.com

The disc was likely dual-layer, so you may need a dual layer disc and burner.

V.O.B was the type and it wasn't dual layer.

But what if a cd was dual layer and i just wanted to make an exact copy of dvds for whatever reason....would i need toast or popcorn? or would idvd be sufficient?
