Okay, so I broke my iPod Mini (2nd Gen)

I replaced the battery, worked great, then I took it apart one day as I thought the battery had disconnected, and I ripped a ribbon off the motherboard!

Anyway, I had a £54 pound off the cost of £180 (excluding sales tax) voucher from Apple, and I used it to get an 80GB Video for the price of the 30GB. Yes please.

Just some questions:

Since I can't remember much about the day I got my first iPod, I was wondering if it was best to run the battery down first, or charge it up all the way then start using it?

Since it's now USB 2.0, how long will a 60GB iTunes library take to transfer?

Can you do it in one go?

It's suggested that you charge it full and run it down to empty about two times at the beginning for the best battery life possible.

As for the transferring it will take over an hour for sure as to how long exactly i'm not sure.
